I am a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Guelph in the field of Applied mathematics. My work includes the application of bifurcation theory to energy balance models of the climate of the Earth. These models can be tuned to paleoclimates to resolve paleoclimate problems, or to modern climate to forecast future climate change. My advisor is Professor Emeritus William F. Langford, whose has in recent years resolved to apply his knowledge of bifurcation theory to the area of climate science, specifically climate change.
