Margaret Lindeman begins Fulbright at the Alfred Wegener Institute

I graduated from Bowdoin College in May with a double major in Mathematics and Earth & Oceanographic Science. During my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to work with MCRN members Dr. Mary Lou Zeeman of Bowdoin and Dr. David Holland of NYU. My interest in ice-ocean interaction has now brought me to the Alfred Wegener Institute in Bremerhaven, Germany, where I have a Fulbright grant to study sea ice-ocean interaction in the Weddell Sea. AWI is a great place to be, because I am surrounded (and supervised) by both physical oceanographers and modelers and have the opportunity to collaborate with both groups. I'm looking forward to the rest of my year here and excited to see what comes next.

Thank you for the update, Margaret!
